Ellaree Carrie Vanover, age 83, of 714 Huggins Road, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away Thursday, June 26, 2008 at her residence. She was the daughter of Eliza Vanover. Ellaree was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and her hobbies included sewing and gardening. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband David Matthew Vanover.
Survivors include two daughters: Carolyn Davis and husband Howard of West Jefferson, North Carolina and Debbie Vanover of Mountain City, Tennessee; eight sons: Lloyd Vanover, Earl Vanover, David L. Vanover, all of Kansas; Dayton Vanover and wife Carol, Arvil Vanover, James Vanover, all of Mountain City, Tennessee; Kenneth Vanover and wife Teresa of Elizabethton, Tennessee; Johnny Vanover and wife Theresa of Johnson City, Tennessee; 23 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Ruby Wilson.
Funeral services for Ellaree Carrie Vanover will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2008 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford with Rev. Clyde Campbell and Rev. Roy Dowell officiating. Pallbearers will be James Vanover, Arvil Vanover, Kenneth Vanover, K. J. Vanover, Jim Taylor, Terry Dillon and Joey Blevins. Graveside services and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2008 in Sunset Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the services.
