Ellis E. Wolfe age 87 of 2323 Dry Hill Road, Butler, Tennessee passed away at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital Elizabethton, Tennessee: on Saturday, December 26, 2009. Ellis was born to the late Don Carlos Wolfe and Roxie Louise Morley Wolfe. He was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Wolfe. Ellis was a retired farmer and carpenter. He enjoyed reading, archaeology and woodworking. Ellis was a member of the Roan Creek Lodge # 679 of the free and accepted Masons. He was a member of the Sugar Grove Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include his loving wife Cora Buckles Wolfe of the home; one daughter:   Vickie Wolfe of South Charleston, West Virginia: One son: Eddie Wolfe and wife Betty of Butler, Tennessee: his grandson: Jason Wolfe and wife Kristy also of Butler, Tennessee.

 

 

Funeral services for Ellis will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from the Sugar Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Chuck Morefield to officiate. Pall Bearers will be Family and Friends.

 

Graveside services and interment will follow the funeral service in the Dry Hill cemetery in Butler, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5:00 pm- 7:00 pm in the Eastside Memory Chapel of the Hux-Lipford-Teague Funeral Home.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Dry Run Volunteer Fire Department, c/o Ray Lunceford, 5646 Big Dry Run Road, Butler, Tennessee 37640.
