Elmer W. Cornett

Elmer W. Cornett, age 74, of 1910 Ackerson Creek Road, Mountain City, TN passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012 in Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born March 6, 1938 to the late Ed Cornett and Pearl Henderson Cornett. Mr. Cornett was a member of Ackerson Creek Church of Christ and he loved cars, music and spending time with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Spriggs Cornett, and one son, Elmer William Cornett, Jr. Survivors include: two sons: Harold Cornett and David Cornett, both of Mountain City, TN; four grandchildren: Robert William Cornett of PA; Matt Cornett, Mandy Cornett and Heather Cornett, all of Mountain City, TN; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Elmer W. Cornett will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2012 from the East Side Memory Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Lewis officiating.
