Elsie Kathleen Arnold

May 28, 1930 — December 31, 2009

Ms Elsie “Kathleen” Arnold, age 79 of 919 Medical Park Drive of Mountain City, Tennessee passed away from her earthly home and went to her Heavenly home with her Lord and Savior on Thursday evening December 31, 2009 at the Watauga Medical Center in Boone, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Altia Moody and Charlie Anderson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Fred Arnold; three sisters: Inez Shull, Louise Emma Anderson and Clara Lunceford; three brothers: Raymond Anderson, Norman Anderson and John Anderson. Kathleen truly enjoyed being a mother to her daughter Tammy and while growing up taking care of the farm animals. She was a member of the Victory Chapel Cowboy Church and will be missed greatly by the church leadership and congregation.


 


Survivors include her daughter: Tammy Johnson and husband Rick of Mentor, Ohio; one sister: Edith Potter and husband Truman of Mountain City, Tennessee; two brothers: Jim Anderson and wife Linda of Granite Falls, North Carolina and Arvis Anderson of Mountain City, Tennessee. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Kathleen was loved by many that included her Pastor Carroll Hayworth, James Hayworth and all of the members of the Victory Chapel Cowboy Church and the staff and residents of Mountain City Care Center.


 


A visitation for Kathleen will be held from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm on Sunday January 3, 2010 in the Eastside Memory Chapel of the Hux~Lipford~Teague Funeral Home.


Graveside service and Inurnment will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday January 9, 2010 in the Sunset Memorial Park of Mountain City, Tennessee with Pastor Carroll Hayworth to officiate.
