Elsie Louise Holden, age 78, passed away at her residence on Monday, November 02, 2015. She was born August 6, 1937 to the late Clarence Norris and Betty Hayworth Norris. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jesse Holden, Son Carol "Tom" Holden and two brothers: Willard Norris and Wade Norris. Elsie enjoyed music, especially George Jones, flowers, and spending time reading. She was a member of Rocksprings Baptist Church. Survivors include: two daughters; Debbie Townsend and husband Rick of Mountain City and Drema Arnold and husband Steve of Mountain City, one sister; Margaret Lipford of Mountain City, one brother; Millard Norris of Mountain City, five grandchildren; Adam Ward, Trinity Arnold, Steven Arnold, Jessie Corum, and Joseph Hollyfield, ten great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews including special niece Ashley Holden, and many special friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Harvey White officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside service will follow the services from the Dugger Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adam Ward, Jessie Corum, Joseph Hollyfield, Rick Townsend, Johnny Norris, and Steve Arnold. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Raina Sluder. At other times friends may call the residence at 201 Shouns Street, Mountain City, TN.
