Elsie L. Johnson

It is with great sadness that the family of Elsie L. Johnson announces her passing on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at her residence at the age of 99. She was born October 26, 1922 to the late Robert Lefler and Bessie Quesenberry Lefler. Elsie loved to sew and was an accomplished seamstress. She was a member of Liberty Christian Church In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kermit Johnson in 1978, daughter Carolyn Johnson and son Johnny D. Johnson. Those left to cherish her memory include two sons: Jack Johnson and Mike Johnson; sister Bea Williams; seven grandchildren including special granddaughter Jennifer Johnson who helped care for her; nine great grandchildren and a nephew Randy Harper. Graveside service and interment will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in Lefler Cemetery with Maurice Widener officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
