Emily Lunceford Price

We are saddened to announce the passing of Emily Lunceford Price, age 59 on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Cannon Memorial Hospital in North Carolina. She was born August 24, 1964 to the late Ed Lunceford and Dora Lee Sluder.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant brother, Buddy Lunceford.

Emily was a graduate of Johnson County High School, class of 1982 and Northeast State Community College. Emily was a homemaker.  She enjoyed playing games on her phone, working puzzles, watching college football and crocheting.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Wesley Price of Harmony, North Carolina; sister, Kathy Tugman of Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee; two brothers, Doug Lunceford of Mountain City, Tennessee and Joe Lunceford of Boone, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. special friend, Lisa Cress also survives.

Funeral service for Emily will be Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at 2 pm in the Charles B Hux Chapel at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home with Ted Lewis officiating.   The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
