Emma Jean Mabe

Mrs. Emma Jean Mabe, age 79 of 661 Modock Road in Trade, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 23rd, 2007 following a brief battle with cancer. She was a native of Watauga County, N.C. and a daughter of the late Paul and Louise Greer McGlamery, in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband French Mabe, a daughter, Evelyn Thomas and three brothers, Burl McGlamery, Butler McGlamery and Pete McGlamery. She was a member of the Trade United Methodist Church, and was a homemaker who loved flowers, reading her Bible, and spending time with her grandchildren. Mamaw Jean is survived by one son Cecil Mabe of PA., two daughters Gladys Adams, and husband Everett of Trade, TN. Brenda Wilson and husband George of Elizabethton, TN. Six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive Funeral Services for Mrs. Emma Jean Mabe will be conducted on Sunday, November 25th, 2007 from the Evergreen Baptist Church at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Ray Branch to Officiate. Music will be under the direction of Sandy Gass. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Pallbearers will be John Price, George Wilson, Janel Pelletier, Robert Wilson, Bob Lipford and Butler Reece. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brandon Adams, Everett Adams, Jacob Pelletier, Neil Lipford and Catlin Price. Private graveside services and burial will follow. Family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Mabe following the graveside service.
