Emma Isaacs Robinson Grindstaff, age 97, of 919 Medical Park Drive, Mountain City passed Away, Friday, June 13, 2003, in the Mountain City Care Center following an extended illness. She was born December 28, 1905 to the late John and Nancy Greer Isaacs and was preceded in death By her husbands, Bert Robinson and James Grindstaff, also by (2) Brothers, Don Isaacs and Alonzo Isaacs, (2) Sisters, Myrtle Hagaman and Lennis Davis and a Step Grandson, Ricky Millsaps. She was A retired Telephone Operator having worked for Bell Telephone and was a Avid Reader. She was a Member of the Union Baptist Church Survivors: (1) Step-Daughter: Emily Millsaps, Mountain City (1) Step-Son: Florian Grindstaff and Wife, Betty, Wilmington, N. C. (1) Sister: Hazel Roark, Johnson City, Tenn. (1) Step-Grandson: Richard Grindstaff, Wilmington, N. C. (2) Step- Granddaughters: Anne Moody, Raleigh, N. C. Rhonda Grindstaff, Wilmington, N. C. Special Niece: Emma Jean Matheson and Husband Paul, Vilas, N. C. (3) Step Great Grandchildren also survived Several Nieces and Nephews Hux-Lipford Funeral Home in charge of the Arrangements. Funeral services for Emma Isaacs Robinson Grindstaff, age 97, of 919 Medical Park Drive, Mountain City will be held 2:30 P. M. Monday from the Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Norman Reece to officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park, Mountain City Pallbearers will be: Larry Roark, Cecil Hagaman, Paul Matheson, Sonny Roberts, Doug Hornsby and Richard Grindstaff. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Staff of Mountain City Care Center and Clay Thomas. The family will receive Friends from 1:30 P. M. till 2:30 P. M. Monday at the Funeral Home Chapel.
