Ernest W. Wright

Ernest W. Wright, age 67, of 1493 Pleasant Valley Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born on April 29, 1939 in Johnson County, Tennessee to the late Robert and Cora Harper Wright. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Wright; one son, Anthony Wayne Wright and one brother, Robert Wright. Ernest was a retired construction contractor and farmer. He was also former co-owner and operator of Wright Brothers TV and Appliance. He enjoyed spending his time with his family and loved to travel. He was a United States Army Veteran and served as a Communications Specialist. Ernest is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; Teresa and Billy Jack Jenkins; one son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Polly Wright, all of Mountain City, Tennessee; two sisters: Betty Rhudy and Loetta Woodell; one brother, Fred Wright, all of Shady Valley, Tennessee; five grandchildren: Heath and Jessee Jenkins, Cody, Ashley and Madison Wright, all of Mountain City, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Shirley Brown, and many, many more special friends and neighbors and all of the special staff of Johnson City Medical Center. Funeral Services for Ernest W. Wright will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2006 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel with Rev. Richard Stout to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Larry and Brenda Barry. Military Honors and Graveside Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 10, 2006 from the Crosswhite Cemetery, Shady Valley, Tennessee and will be accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Active Pallbearers will be: Heath Jenkins, Jessee Jenkins, Dennis Rhudy, Billy Jack Jenkins, William O'Brien and Kenneth Dickens. Those who are attending Graveside Services are asked to assemble by 1:45 p.m. on Sunday at the Cemtery. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the Services, at Hux-Lipford Funeral Home.
