Ernie Ralph Gentry

Ernie Ralph Gentry, age 72, of 883 Hawkins Road, Laurel Bloomery, Tn passed away Friday, May 19, 2006 at his residence following a brief illness. He was a native of Johnson County and was born April 7, 1934 to the late Jake and Della Leffman Gentry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers; James Gentry and Arthur Gentry also three sisters: Vella Doss, Dorothy Abel and Essie Abel. Mr. Gentry was a retired Factory worker and a member of the Pleasant Home Baptist Church. He loved hunting, fishing and antique collecting. Survivors include his wife; Norma Mosier Gentry of the home Two daughters: Glenda and husband Randy Fallin of Mountain City Hilda Davis of Laurel Bloomery, TN One sister: Jewell Gentry of Laurel Bloomery, TN One Brother: Luther Gentry of Laurel Bloomery, TN Four grandchildren: Jennifer Fallin and Jessica Fallin of Mountain City Deidre Davis and Corey Davis of Laurel Bloomery, TN One great grandson: Ayden Fallin of Mountain City Several nieces and nephews also survived Funeral services for Ernie Ralph Gentry will be held 2:00 p. m. Sunday, May 21, 2006 from the Pleasant Home Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Blackburn to officiate. Burial will follow in the Acre Field Cemetery Pallbearers will be: Randy Doss, L. J. Doss, Larry Doss, Van Neely, James Neely and William Neely. Honorary Pallbearers will be men of Pleasant Home Baptist Church The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:00 p. m. Sunday prior the funeral services Friends may also call at the family residence 883 Hawkins Road, Laurel Bloomery, Tn. At anytime.
