Eula Fay Courtner, age 71, of 3900 Crackers Neck Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 following an extended illness. She was born on March 8, 1935 to the late Garfield and Varie (Martin) Trivette. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shelton John Courtner, who passed away December 9, 1999 and three brothers: Clay Trivette, Arlis Trivette and Dean Trivette. Eula loved gardening especially flowers. She was a member of Locust Gap First Freewill Baptist Church. Eula is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law: Kathy and Marvin W. Arney of Mountain City, Tennessee, Debra and Dana Watson of Newland, North Carolina and Becci and Gary Jones of Creston, North Carolina; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Jack Courtner and Jerry and Patsy Courtner, all of Mountain City, Tennessee; two sisters: Patsy "Teen" Eggers and Virda Mae Stout; three brothers: Ottis "Pin" Trivette, Rod Trivette and Bob Trivette, all of Mountain City, Tennessee; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside Services for Eula Fay Courtner will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2006 from the Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Doug Ranshaw to officiate. Active Pallbearers will be: Marvin W. Arney, Dana Watson, Josh McKinney, Raymond Arney, D.L. Brown and Bill Trivette. Honorary Pallbearers are: Dr. John Whitlock, Dr. Herman Godwin and Hospice Nurse, Pam Bunting.
