Obituary for: Eva Mae Horne Eva Mae Horne, age 68 of 456 Slabtown Road, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away in the Johnson City Medical Center, Friday, January 28, 2011 after a brief illness. Mrs. Horne was a native of Johnson County and the daughter of the late Walter Clyde Roberts and Ella Mae Roberts. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Miller and Carolyn Wright; five brothers, Jack Roberts, Toots Roberts, J. L. Roberts, Bobby Roberts and Lonnie Roberts. Mrs. Horne was a homemaker and a retired CNA of the Johnson County Hospital. She loved spending time with her family, reading the Bible, gardening, working in her flowers and writing poetry. Survivors include: Her husband of fifty-three years, Bill Horne of Mountain City, Tennessee; two sisters, Peggy Hawkins and Lois Wilson of Mountain City, Tennessee; one brother, Johnny Ross Roberts of Mountain City. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Mae Roberts Horne will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 30, 2011 at the Doe Valley Baptist Church. Special music will be by the Doe Valley Baptist Choir. The Rev. Roy Dowell and Rev. J. C. Greene will officiate. Visitation hours will be 1:00 pm through 2:00 pm Sunday, at the Doe Valley Baptist Church prior to the service. Interment will follow the funeral service in the J. C. Wilson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad.
