Fanny Joan "Joann" Hodge

Fanny Joan "Joann" Hodge, age 84, passed away Sunday, July 7th, 2024 in the Johnson City Medical Center, with her son by her side.  She was born June 4th,  1940 to the late Ray (Rod) and Carrie Guy and was of the Baptist faith.

Fannie is preceded in death by a brother, Randall Guy; sister, Jean Arney; a precious son, Bobby Adkins; daughter, Vera Kimberlin and a great grandson, Sebastian West.

Joann was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  She loved animals and always had a fur baby by her side.  She was an avid crafter and seemed to always  have a project in mind.  Joann could pack a whole house in a U-Haul on a moments notice.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Carla Langston and the late Arvin Langston of Ringgold , GA; Freddie Adkins and companion Brittany of Johnson City, TN; Danny Adkins and wife Tina of Hampton, TN; six grandsons; one granddaughter; several great grand children and a special niece, Carol Arney also survive.

Graveside service for Fannie will be held Friday, July 12, 2024 at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery at 3:00 pm with Tom Reece officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home and then go in procession to the graveside service.

The family would like to extend a special Thank you to Hillview Nursing Home for the care Joann received.  A very special thanks to the staff of Johnson city Medical Center ICU for their kindness, devotion and invaluable care extended to their mother. It will not be forgotten.
