Faye Thomas

Faye Thomas, age 87, of 142 Brown Place, Mountain City, TN passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013 in Sycamore Shoals Hospital, Elizabethton, TN. She was the daughter of the late Eugene L. and Flossie Dunn Brown. Mrs. Thomas was an employ of Ramsey's 5 & 10 Store for 20 years. She also worked at Watauga Medical Center, Robinson's Department Store and Smithey's. She was a member of Nelsons Chapel and her hobbies included collecting whatnots, antiques, sewing and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Mont Thomas; infant sisters: Snowey Lee Brown, Elizabeth Brown and Ruby Grace Brown; sister: Dorothy June Brown; and brothers: Hubert, Carl and Howard Brown. Survivors include: one brother: Burchel Dunn of Mountain City, TN; two sisters-in-law: Maggie Brown and Ovel Brown; and many nieces and nephews and cousins. A graveside service for Faye Thomas will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013 in Dunn Memorial Park with Rev. Sam Icenhour and Rev. Lonnie Denney officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Sophia, Blakely Stout, Dwayne Dunn, Burnice Dunn, Darrell Dunn, Juanita Howell and Patty Lanhan.
