Mr. Fayette Charles Arnold, age 86, of 3286 Fall Branch Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to be with his Lord & Savior Monday, June 02, 2003 at the Holston Valley Hospital. He was a native of Johnson County and was born April 19, 1917 to the late Kelly Arnold and Cliffie Phillips. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Janice Arnold, one brother Emitt Arnold, and one sister Hester Snyder. He was a Member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher for several years. He was a World War II Veteran having served in the US Army. Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Margie Dowell Arnold of the home. Everyone that came to know Fayette loved him. He was a wonderful Christian Husband , Father and Friend. His gentle spirit will be missed by all. Survivors in addition to wife: (2) Sons: Scotty Arnold, Johnson City, Tennessee Kelly Arnold, Johnson City, Tennessee (6) Sisters: Rena Brown, Abingdon, Virginia Nell Galliher, Jonson City, Tennessee June Smith, Bristol, Virginia Inez Wallace, Zionville, North Carolina Vean Reynolds, Charlotte, North Carolina Lula Bell Wallace, Baltimore, Maryland (3) Brothers: Leavie Arnold, Mountain City, Tennessee Dean Arnold, Mountain City, Tennessee Danny Arnold, Mountain City, Tennessee (1) Grandchild: Sophia Elizabeth Arnold, Johnson City, Tennessee Several Nieces and Nephews Hux-Lipford Funeral Home in charge of the Arrangements. Funeral services for Fayette Charles Arnold, age 86, of 3286 Fall Branch Road, Mountain City, Tennessee will be held 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 04, 2003 from the Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. David Bentley and Rev Bruce Simcox to officiate. Music will be under the Direction of The Fletchers. Military Graveside Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday from the Dowell Cemetery accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be: Van Arnold, Frankie Smith, Selmar Potter, Swan Hayes, Ed Roark, J.R. Arnold and Mike May Honorary Pallbearer will be: Earl Arnold The family will receive Friends from 6 till 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 04, 2003 at the Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home.
