Obituary for: Mr. Floyd Forrester

 

Mr. Floyd Forrester, age 59, of 623 Orchard Road, Shady Valley, Tennessee, went to be with his Lord on Friday, September 11, 2009. He was the son of the late Conley W. Forrester and Ms. Louise Woodard Forrester who lives in Mountain City, Tennessee. 

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister Karen Stike.

Floyd was a member of the Shady Valley Presbyterian Church. He loved car shows and showing his Cutlass Supreme Classic Car. He was a former employee of World Wide Equipment of Bristol, Tennessee

 

Survivors include: his wife; Nancy McQueen Forrester of the home; Son: Shawn Forrester of Shady Valley, Tennessee; Mother: Louise Woodard Forrester of Mountain City, Tennessee.;two sisters; Teresa Roberts and husband Arnold of Blountville, Tennessee and Evelyn Dancy and husband Gene of Zionville, N.C. :two special Sister in laws, Sharron McQueen and Mable Garland also of Shady Valley, Tennessee; granddaughter; Shawna Forrester, Mountain City, Tennessee. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Forrester will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2009 from the Shady Valley Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jack Stevens, Rev. Eddie Porter, Dr. Tom Peake, and Dr. Dan Little officiating. Music will be under the direction of Dr. Tom Peake, Ms Ann Peake and Tina Lipford. Kitty Peters with accompany with Piano. Pallbearers will be Christopher Garland, Mark Gentry, Dan Lipford, Tony Wallace, Dick Righter, and Norman Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers Charles Scott, Bill Barton, Harold Plummer, Randall Garland, Dr. Sue Prill, Heather Greene N.P., Francis Plummer, and Julian Dunlap. Graveside Services will be held at the Shady Valley Memorial Gardens at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday September 15, 2009. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Monday prior to the funeral service.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson County Relay for Life, % of Tina Lipford 150 Johnson Hollow Road, Mountain City, Tennessee. 37683.
