Frances Marie Forrester, age 86, of Yorklyn, DE, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2004 at Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. A native of Mountain City, TN, she was the daughter of the late, Margaret Pane Hollaway and Pat Hollaway. Frances was the widow of the late George T. Forrester with whom she shared 54 years of marriage until his death in 1981. She was employed as a machine operator at Tri-Cot in Kennett Square, DE, retiring in 1981 after 20 years of service. She loved to quilt and enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening. Along with her husband and parents, Frances was preceded in death by her brother, J.C. Hollaway and her sister, Mary Brewer. Frances is survived by four sons, Wallace Forrester of Yorklyn, DE; Willard Forrester of Newark, DE; Lee Forrester of Hartwell, GA; and Jerry Forrester of Hockessin, DE; one daughter, Shirley Trautman of Kennett Square, DE; eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandaughter Funeral Services for Frances Marie Forrester will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2004 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bruce Simcox to officiate. Graveside services will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harvey Brown, Herman Timbs, Jim Timbs, Charlie Horne, Dayton Hawkins, and Alvin Profitt. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 14, 2004, at the Cleveland & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 221-223 Pennsylvania Avenue, Avondale, PA 19311-0280. A visitation will also be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2004, prior to the services at the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home.
