Frances R. Huggins, age 85, of 2130 Hwy 421 North, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, January 26, 2005. A native of Johnson County, Tennessee, she was born on November 9, 1919 to the late Ed and Lake Rankins. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Huggins, who passed away in 1968; three brothers, Buster, Robert and Elmer Rankins and one sister, Carrie Owens. Frances was a member of the Valley View United Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Katherine Cullop; two grandsons, Randy Cullop and wife Cathy and Danny Cullop and wife Patsy; four great grandchildren, Shawna, Brandon, Eric and Amber Cullop, all of Mountain City; several nieces and nephews and many special friends. Funeral Services for Frances will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2005 from the Valley View United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Everhart and Rev. Freddie L. Arnold to officiate. Graveside Services and Interment will follow from the Phillippi Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Earl Davis, Bill Gentry, Jake Lewis, Buddy Osborne, Ralph Poteet and Porter Stout. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to Services at the Church. At other times, friends may call at the residence, 2130 Hwy 421 N., Mountain City, Tennessee 37683. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Valley View United Methodist Church, 1779 Hwy 421 N, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683 and/or Phillippi Cemetery, c/o Gail Fenner, 2352 Hwy 421 N, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
