Francis R Kope

Francis R. Kope, age 65, of 5050 Forge Creek Road, Mountain City, TN, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2006, at the Johnson County Health Center following a lengthy illness. A native of Brownsville, PA, he was born August 11, 1940 to John W. Kope and the late Evelyn Clark Kope. Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, and three sons: John, Joseph, and James. Francis had worked as a Machinist in Pennsylvania for many years before retiring and moving to Tennessee. He loved spending time with his family and friends and also restoring and collecting antique cars. In addition to his father, John W. Kope, Francis is survived by three daughters: Arlene McMahon, of Jonesborough, TN; Marlene Tester, of Trade, TN; Kimberly McMahon Kope, of Springfield, OH and seven grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at a later date before his inurnment in Williamsfield, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 2-4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2006 at the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel.
