Fred "Bugs" Mccoy

Obituary for: Fred “Bugs” McCoy, age 60, passed away March 7, 2022 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Fred was born in Ashe County, NC to the late Harley Fred McCoy and Della Rae Daughtery. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers: John McCoy, Gary McCoy, Donald “Donnie” McCoy, Bryce McCoy; great niece Gracie Mae Franklin and brother-in-law Joe Pennington Those left to cherish his memories include his wife Helen Jones McCoy; sisters: Virginia Clonch and husband Monroe; Margaret Hunt and husband John, Ruth Pennington, Linda “Lynn” Eastridge and husband Jerry; step grandchildren: Dylan Church and Madison Reece; special nephew Pete McCoy; special niece Kendra Frankllin and husband Adam who took care of him throughout his illness; special great nephew Zachary Whitehead and Colby Franklin. Many other nieces and nephews and neighbor and friend Joe Hardin also survive. It was Fred's wishes to be cremated.
