Fred Icenhour, age 77, of 2087 Berry Branch Road, Mountain City, TN passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at his residence. He was born May 5, 1938 to the late Charlie Icenhour and Hester Curd Icenhour. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: one son; James David Icenhour, one daughter; Carol Marlow, five brothers; Earnest Icenhour, Buck Icenhour, Squeek Icenhour, Luther Icenhour, James David Icenhour, and three sisters; Pearl Snyder, Hazel Powell, and Connie Miller. Fred attended Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, training his Beagles, fishing, and reading his Bible. Survivors include: two daughters; Kathy Icenhour and significant other Rodney Halbach of Sheboygan, WI, and Tammy Lunceford and husband Allen of Butler, TN; stepdaughter Sasha Johnson of Johnson City, TN, and stepson Charlie Johnson and wife Shilo of Guyton, GA; grandchildren: Tiffany Case, Alisha Case, Vanessa Lunceford, Chayne Icenhour, Heather Burgess, Casey Lunceford, Amanda May, Cody Marlow, and step grandchildren; Anna Jefson and Steven Waycaster; daughter-in-law, Shentonta Icenhour, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and special nephew Bill Icenhour. Special friends Lue and Dale Clark and Lelia Waycaster also survive. He was a very loving father and grandfather. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 26, 2015 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel with Rev. Steven Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. A private graveside service will be held for the family. Pallbearers are: Chayne Icenhour, Cody Marlow, Steven Waycaster, Charlie Johnson, Jeff Norris, Steve Icenhour, and Douglas Icenhour. Honorary pallbearers are: Rodney Halbach, Allen Lunceford, Casey Lunceford, Dale Clark, Gene Heaton, Russ Morefield, Jack Proffitt, Bill Icenhour, and the men of Calvary Baptist Church.
