Gail Ellis Israel, age 69, of 1770 Spear Branch Road Mountain City, Tennessee passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008, at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital in Elizabethton, Tennessee following an extended illness. Ms. Israel was the daughter of the late Franklin Ellis and the late Jean Curtis Ellis. She was an artisan and member of the Berks County, PA Craft Guild. She ran and operated her own successful craft store and home based business known as Rocking Horse Handcrafts located in North Wales, PA. She relocated to Mountain City in 1997. She specialized in the reproduction of wooden butter mold patterns into clay pieces which were sold and well known through the United States. She loved the outdoors, gardening, baking with her granddaughter Devon and long walks with her beloved Irish wolfhound ?Shannon?. She loved the beauty and serenity of the East Tennessee Mountains. She will truly be missed. Survivors include; 2 sons: Eric John Israel, of Mountain City, Tennessee. Sean Charles Israel also of Mountain City, Tennessee Granddaughter; Devon Nicole Israel Mountain City, Tennessee One brother: Eric Ellis and wife Nancy of Prescott Arizona, and their sons, Mike and David Ellis all of Florida. It was Ms. Israel?s wishes to be cremated and there will be no formal services at this time.
