Gaile Madron

Gaile C. Hammond Madron, age 88, of Mountain City, TN passed away Wednesday March 25, 2009, at the Mountain City Care Center, following a lengthy illness.  She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Myrtle Penley Hammond.  She was a native of Okangon County Washington, was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  She and her late husband Earl Madron, spent 43 years together in the Neva community.  She was a homemaker, worked at Blackburn’s Supermarket, Peoples Drug Store, Boone Trail Dairy Bar and Johnson County Hospital.  Mrs. Madron was active in church, school and community activities. Her hobbies were gardening and embroidery.


Her parents, husband Earl Madron, daughter Hope Payne, granddaughter Robin Madron Foxworth, brother Junior Hammond, two sons in law, Gene Treadway and Marion Payne, three sisters in law, Lucille Eller, Millie Seiss and Ruth Seehorn, six brothers in law, Curtis Madron, Bill Eller, Jim Parsons, Bob Wills, Dick Seiss, and Reed Seehorn, preceded her in death.

    One Son: John Madron and wife Sandra, Florence SC


    One Sister: Dorothy Kynell, Canada


    One Brother: George Thomas, Concord, NC


    Eight Grandchildren, Eight Great-Grandchildren, two Great-Great-Grandchildren


Three Sisters in law:  Sue parsons, Mountain City, Lois Wills, Mountain City and Jackie Thomas, Concord, NC


         Several Nieces and Nephews


 


Funeral Services for Gaile C. Hammond Madron will be conducted at 4:00 P. M. Sunday, March 29, 2009, from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Norman, Rev. Ricky Campbell, Mr. Harry Wills and Mr. Jim Hutchinson, officiating. 


Music will be by Joe Simcox, Ricky Campbell, Kerry Gentry and Paul Gschwind


Pallbearers will be William E. Lewis, James Madron, Cody Madron, Robert Wills, Zachery Payne, Mitchell Payne, Dr. Randall Thomas, Dwayne Thomas, Paul Greer and Richard Payne.


Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Jim and Suzanne Shine, Staff of Johnson County Community Hospital, Eddie Cavanaugh, James Brewer, Paul Gschwind, Bill Wilson, Sonny Roberts, Toll Lewis, Sandra Madron, Dan Falcasantos, Russell Jordan, Bill Maine, Earl Lewis, Kyle Lewis, Mac Williams, Danny Cullop, Aids and Nurses on 100 Hall, Caris Hospice, Members of Johnson County Rescue Squad, Staff of Mountain City Care Canter and Primary Pulmonary Care Unit, 5540 Hall Johnson City Medical Center.


Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.


The Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P. M. Sunday at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  At other times, friends may call at the home of her daughter Hilda Lewis, 5263 Highway 91 North, Mountain City.


In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City


 Henson Funeral Home is serving the Madron family.
