Gaynell Woodard. Age 83 of 7884 Highway West, Mountain City, Tennessee. Passed away Tuesday December 26 th at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital, Elizabethton, Tennessee following a brief illness. Ms. Woodard was born February 2 nd 1923 in Nicklesville, Virginia, to the late Dr. Marion Lucian Moore and Grace Marshall Moore. In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her husband, Noah Samuel Woodard who passed away in August, 1970. Ms. Woodard was a homemaker and a member of Bethany Baptist Church of Doe Valley, TN and enjoyed sewing, taking care of her granddaughter, and canning. Survivors Include A Daughter; Virginia C. Phillips and husband Denny. A Son; Raymond Woodard A granddaughter; Cindy Wallace and husband Brad. Funeral Services for Mrs. Gaynell Woodard will be conducted at 2:00pm on Thursday, December 28, 2006 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Minister Ronnie Manuel to officiate. Graveside services and interment will be held at the Sunset Memorial Park following the funeral services on Thursday. Active Pallbearers will be: Brad Wallace, Bob Wallace, Roman Wallace, Richard Stout, Denny Phillips and Bill Wilson. The Family will receive friends from 12-2:00 P.M. Thursday also at Hux-Lipford Funeral Home. Friends may call at the home of a granddaughter, Cindy Wallace, 2777 Hwy 421 N., Mountain City, TN 37683 at anytime. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
