George Patrick Simon

George Simon, age 60, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 in the Watauga Medical Center.  He was born on July 1,1962 in Freeport, NY to the late George F Simon and Margaret Moher Simon of Todd, North Carolina.

George was a United States Navy Veteran, having served in the Seabees. He was a member of Saint Anthonys of Padua Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.  He was a huge sports fan especially of his New York Jets, New York Mets and New York Islanders.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include three daughters, Caitlin Simon, Laurie McPeak and Shannon Smith; two sons, Sean Simon and Patrick Simon; brother, Thomas Simon (Donna-Jean); Grandchildren, Elliana Smith, Grayson Simon, Charlotte and Olivia McPeak; Nieces and Nephew, Thomas Simon Jr, Jessica Osborne and Nicholas Simon.
