Georgia Lee "Pat" Roark, age 65, of 377 Loyd Road, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away Wednesday morning, August 11, 2010 at Watauga Medical Center in Boone, North Carolina following an extended illness. She was a daughter of the late George G. and Edna Valarie Shoemake Eastridge. She was a member of Highland Bible Tabernacle Church. Georgia was a homemaker who loved shopping and crafts. Survivors include: her husband of 49 years, Gene Roark, of the home; two daughters: Brenda Trivette and husband Kenneth of Creston, NC and Karen Clunn and husband Rick of Mountain City, TN; two sons: Marty Roark of Creston, NC and John Roark and wife Dana of Mountain City, TN; two sisters: Sue Sain of Lincolnton, NC and Linda Mullen of Lancaster, PA; one brother: Howard Eastridge of Coatsville, PA; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Special friends Cathy Clawson and Arbutes Jones also survive. Funeral services for Georgia Lee "Pat" Roark will be conducted by Rev. Spencer Roark and Rev. Lindsey McGrady at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, August 14, 2010 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home. Pallbearers to be Russell Trivette, Jonathan Roark, Ryan Clunn, Timothy Norman, Jeffrey Norman, Thomas Graybeal, James Pennington and Dennis Roark. Graveside service and interment will follow in Roark Cemetery on Rock Creek Road, Creston, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. At other times friends may call at the residence, 377 Loyd Road, Mountain City, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
