Gerald David Thornburg Sr.

We are saddened to announce the passing of Gerald David Thornburg Sr., age 79, on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, in Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born December 19, 1942 to the late Grady Oliver Thornburg and Mattie Long Thornburg. He is also preceded in death by his brother Kenneth. Gerald loved horses, camping, tractors and blue grass.

Those left to cherish his memory are three sons; Gerald Thornburg of Dallas, NC; Charles Thornburg (Missy) of Erin, TN; Michael Thornburg of Dallas, NC; sister: Patricia West of Dallas, NC; three grandchildren: Jonathan, Katelyn and Caleb and special friend, Fay Lail.

A graveside service will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 30, 2022 in Sunset Memorial Park.
