Mrs. Geraldine Earle Lawrence, 78, of 912 US Hwy 67 N, Trade, Tennessee passed away on Sunday afternoon, July 8, 2007, at the Mountain City Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born August 16, 1928 in Johnson County, Trade, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Charles F. and Myrtle Eggers Trivette.
Ms. Lawrence was a l945 graduate of Cove Creek High School. She was later employed with Woolworth and Cress? stores for 10 years and Singletons Department Store for 10 years. She was a lifetime member of Zionville Baptist Church. At the age of 12 she accepted Jesus as her personal Saviour. She loved attending her church and reading.
Survivors include three sons: Gary Lawrence and wife Lona of Lenoir, NC; David Lawrence of Trade, TN: and Douglas Lawrence of Dryden, VA; one daughter, Jolene Baumgardner of Zionville, NC; one brother, Blaine Trivette and wife Willa of Trade, TN; two sisters, Shirley Lilly and husband Bobby of Bristol, VA, and Faye Reece of Zionville, NC; three grandchildren, Jason Phipps, Jonathan Phipps and Heather Baumgardner of Zionville, NC; three great-grandchildren, Bryan Phipps, Daniel Russom and Nora Russom all of Zionville, NC. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil D. Lawrence, her step-mother, Clara L. Trivette, one brother, Robert Bruce Trivette and one sister, Myrle Marie Icenhour.
Services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, July 11, 2007 at 2 o?clock at Zionville Baptist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Carl Johnson and Rev. Mark Wagg.
Graveside service and interment will follow at the Trade Community Cemetery officiated by Rev. Larry Rye.
