Obituary for: Geraldine Elizabeth Greer Nichols Geraldine Greer Nichols, age 69, of Big Laurel Road, Creston, NC passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Ashe Memorial Hospital in North Carolina. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed sewing. She worked at Burlington Industries and was a homemaker. She was born September 22, 1946 to the late James and Ethel Hamm Greer. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law Willard Nichols and one brother Gene Greer. Mrs. Nichols is survived by her husband, Junior Nichols of 52 years, one son Bobby Nichols, Creston, NC , one brother Gary and wife Sandy Greer, Mountain City, TN, two grandchildren Dylan Nichols and Kaitlyn Nichols, special niece Tersea and husband Richard McCoy, Lansing, NC and a nephew Jason Greer and wife Michelle, West Jefferson, NC. Funeral services for Mrs. Nichols will be conducted, Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. from the Charles B. Hux Chapel with the Rev. Ed Hall and Rev. Spencer Roark officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1-2 P.M. Graveside service will be at the Phillips-Hamm Cemetery following the service. Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Nichols, Larry Nichols, Jerry Nichols , Richard McCoy, Hunter McCoy and Doug Farmer.
