Glenn Franklin Osborne Jr.

October 1, 1962 — November 7, 2023

It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Glenn Franklin (Frank/Frankie) Osborne Jr., at his residence in Roan Mountain, TN on November 7, 2023.  He was 61 years old, originally from Mountain City, TN.

His family is deeply aggrieved by his sudden death and will miss him greatly.

Frank was born October 1, 1962, in Rockville, Maryland but moved to Mountain City, TN at a very small age, where he grew up and lived most of his life.  He attended and graduated from Johnson County High School.  Frank was a devoted son and loved his mother and father dearly.

Frank was strong-willed and stubborn at times, but he had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor.  He was very loyal and brave, demonstrating this by joining the military.  Frank was an accomplished professional pool/billiard player, winning many competitions and playing leisurely at the family business/store he managed, co-owned, and then owned.  He was very passionate about and took pleasure in working with his tools and machinery; he enjoyed the mechanics in taking things apart and putting them back together, tinkering with them or even making something completely different from the parts.  He also loved cars; working on them, racing them, and was a big NASCAR fan.

Frank adored and loved his daughters and grandchildren and was exceptionally proud of them; his memory will live on through them.

He was predeceased by father Glenn Franklin Osborne Sr., who died December 5, 1993, mother Mary Margaret (Wolfe) Osborne, who died September 24, 2010, sister Hazel Irene Osborne who died September 11, 1963, and grandson Jayden Keyonne Haynes who died January 23, 2003.

He is survived by his daughters, Samantha Tara Osborne (Randy Bell), granddaughter Luna Grace Bell; daughter Ginnefer Shannon (Osborne) Haynes (Victor Haynes), grandson Jordan Kayin Haynes (Millie Pierce), granddaughter Rheagan Teara Haynes, granddaughter Peighton Eleigha Haynes, grandson Victor Tracy (Tray) Haynes III, and grandson Christian Jamison (C.J) Haynes.

He is also survived by a plethora of cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends whom he considered sons, daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home in Mountain City, TN.  Receiving of friends and family will begin at 2pm EST, with the ceremony following at 3pm EST, and then a private entombment ceremony for the family at the cemetery mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Park in Mountain City, TN.

Officiating Pastor will be Victor Tracy Haynes Jr.
