Gloria Gay Lowe

Gloria Gay Lowe, age 72, of 1289 Campbell Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2006 at the Watauga Medical Center, Boone, North Carolina following a lengthy illness. She was born on January 29, 1934 in Johnson County to the late Sherman and Evelyn Lowe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chase Lowe. Gloria was a homemaker and attended Bethel Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Tommy Lowe of Mountain City, Tennessee; one sister, Chloe Roberts of Mountain City, Tennessee and two brothers: Paul Lowe of Butler, Tennessee and Roger Lowe of Oxford, Pennsylvania. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Gloria Lowe will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 4th, 2006 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Daniel Thomas and Rev. Gary Roberts. Music will be under the direction of "Friends of Grace". The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, prior to Services at the Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 5th, 2006 from the Lowe Cemetery. Family and Friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery by 1:45 p.m. on Sunday.
