Hal Edwin Graybeal, age 81, of 815 N. Shady Street, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at the Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born on May 28, 1925 in Johnson County, Tennessee, to the late George Preston and Anna Wilson Graybeal. In addition to his parents, Hal was preceded in death by one son, Jackie Earl Graybeal; one granddaughter, Jennifer Nicole Cress and one brother, James Graybeal. Hal enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid Atlanta Braves and Tennessee Football Fan. He was a member of First Christian Church of Mountain City, Tennessee. He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law: Brenda and Jack Greene of Jonesborough, Tennessee; Janet and David Guinn of Gray, Tennessee and Donna and David Watson of Meadowview, Virginia; one sister, Helen Graybeal Price of Johnson City, Tennessee; four grandchildren: Amy Greene of Knoxville, Tennessee; Justin Nelson of Meadowview, Virginia, Taylor Guinn and Logan Guinn, both of Gray, Tennessee; long time caregiver, friend and mother of his children, Mildred Graybeal of Mountain City, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Hal Edwin Graybeal will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2007 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Pastor Dwayne Dickson to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Mr. Fred Ramsey. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the Service, at the funeral home. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2007 from the Mountain View Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Taylor Guinn, Justin Hal Nelson, James Hal Price, Jack Greene, David Guinn and David Watson.
