Hallie W. Dunn, age 87, of 203 B. Shouns Mission Lane, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Shouns, Tennessee, she was born on May 8, 1919, the daughter of the late James and Collie Greer Williams. In addition to her parents, Hallie was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Dunn; two sons: Bill Dunn and Ronnie Dunn; one brother, Joe Williams; three sisters: Emma Wagner, Pauline Greer and Dolly Good and one grandson, Brad Dunn. Hallie was a member of Roans Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending her time talking with her friends and family on the phone and she also enjoyed flowers. Hallie is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law: Sue Greer of Lenoir, North Carolina; Louise Smith of Marion, North Carolina and Lois and Perry Jennings of Mountain City, Tennessee; two sons and daughters-in-law: Gilbert and Gayle Dunn of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Paul and Kathy Dunn of Mountain City, Tennessee; one sister, Ada Osborne; one sister-in-law, June Williams, both of Mountain City, Tennessee; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews and special friends: Marie McElyea, Beatrice Stewart, Iva Sheffield and Edith Thompson. Funeral Services for Hallie W. Dunn will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2007 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bill McGuire and Rev. Roy Dowell to officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the Services, at the funeral home. Graveside Services and Interment will follow from the Rainbow Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Bill Dowell, Butch Jennings, Jack Warren, Jim Furchess, Danny Santucci and Rick Hoosier. Honorary Pallbearers are: Ralph Greer and Hallie's Grandsons.
