Harold "Bud" Wilson

July 29, 1942 — January 6, 2008

Buddy Harold "Bud" Wilson, age 65, of Creston, North Carolina passed away Sunday, January 6, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Wilson was a son of the late Gar B. Wilson and Paris Sunshine Powell Wilson. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and his hobbies included traveling, gardening, horses and the outdoors. Mr. Wilson was a retired lineman from Blue Ridge Electric. "Bud" was a member of the Taylorsville Masonic Lodge #243 F & AM and a Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Mason. He was a United States Army veteran having served during the Korean War.

Survivors include: his wife, Linda D. Wilson of the home; two sons: Timothy Harold Wilson and wife Sarah F. of Brunswick, Georgia and Anthony Donnelly Wilson of Navarre, Florida; two sisters: Evelyn Wilson Hill and Carolyn Wilson Hawkins both of Mountain City, Tennessee; two brothers: Larry Wilson and Dan Wilson both of Mountain City, Tennessee; two grandsons: ?Gus? M. Wilson and Ethan F. Wilson.

Funeral services and a Masonic Rites Ceremony for Buddy Harold "Bud" Wilson will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2008 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Maurice Ward and Rev. Derrick Wilson officiating. Music will be under the direction of Kenny Price, Wendy and Carol Roten. Pallbearers will be Francis Winebarger, Glenn Winebarger, Len Winebarger, Keith Wilson, Jeff Wilson, Bill Hill, Jon Grayson and Jim Smith. Military graveside services will be held in Shouns Church Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2008 accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. prior to the services.

At other times friends may call at the residence, 19960 NC Highway 88 West, Creston, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Shouns Church Cemetery Fund, % Evelyn Hill, 172 Forge Creek Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, Tennessee or the Shriners.
