Hassie Virginia Thomas

Hassie Virginia Thomas, age 85, of 435 B.H. Duncan Road Zionville, N.C. passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 at her residence. She was born October 12, 1926 in Ashe County, N.C. to the late Ralph May and Hassie Lewis May in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers Ralph G. May Jr and Thomas Edward May. She was a member of The Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include: Her Husband: Grant E. Thomas of the home, Brother Ned Gray May of Zionville, N.C.; Sister Vivian Louise Winters, of Erwin, Tn. several nieces and nephews also survive. A visitation for Ms. Thomas will be held Saturday, August 18, 2012 from 10 until 11 am. from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux Lipford Funeral Home. Following the visitation those wishing to will go in procession to the Zionville Baptist Church Cemetery where graveside services will be conducted by Pastor Jeffery Wilson.
