Hattie B. Icenhour, age 73, of 173 Wilcox Road, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away Monday, December 08, 2003 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. A native of West Virginia, she was born September 23, 1930 to the late Willie and Cora Roark Davis. Hattie was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Burl "Buck" Icenhour who passed away in 1966, one daughter, Loretta Sisk and two sisters; Guffie Williams and Emma Jean Farley. She was a fan of Bob Smallwood, enjoyed reading the Bible and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Hattie is survived by four daughters; Rosa Pearl Heaton, Anita May South; both of Mountain City, Tennessee, Connie Lee Austin of Bridgeville, Delaware and Mary Evelyn Snyder of Butler, Tennessee, three sons; Jimmy Earl Icenhour, Burl Elvis Icenhour; both of Mountain City, Tennessee and Garner Ted Icenhour of Greensboro, North Carolina, one sister Cordilla McQueen of Kansas City, Missouri, 13 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and Several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral Services for Hattie B. Icenhour will be at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2003 from the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Morefield, Rev. Anthony Pleasant and Rev. Bob Smallwood to officiate. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. prior to services. Graveside Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2003 from the Phillippi Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Bill Shepherd, Rick Tugman, Jeff B. Snyder, David Mains, Landon McCloud, Charlie Jennings, Mack Jennings and Danny Sisk. Honorary Pallbearers are: Dr. Paula Cox, Dr. Brett Ellis, Alf Wilson, Hugh Wallace and Judy Wallace. Friends may also call at the residence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Caner Society. On line condolences may be sent to the family through our website, www.hux-lipford.com. Mrs. Icenhour will be taken to the Church at 4;30 P.M. where she will lie in state till the service Hour. Hux-Lipford Funeral Home is serving the Icenhour Family.
