Helen Dugger, age 82, of Mountain City, Tennessee passed away peacefully in her home after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, March 26. 2026.
Helen was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. A long time member of Valley View Methodist Church. Best known for her generous spirit and always extending a helping hand to those in need, never expecting anything in return. She instilled kindness, hard work and perserverance in all of her family, Whom she had a strong bond with and enjoyed spendiing time with. An avid gardener and flower enthusiast, she was most happy when outside on a sunny day.
Those left to cherish Helen's memory include her daughter, Beverly Graybeal; grandkids, Cody Graybeal and wife Mallarie, Kelcey Graybeal and husband Clayton Odell; great grandkids, Emilia and George Graybeal; sisters, Betty Jean Warren, Peggy Horne and husband Jerry; and Carolyn Proffit and husband Tim; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Florence Wilcox, Betty Greenwell, Bonnie English, and Steve and Kay Tripplet.
Helen is preceded in death by her mother and father, Ruth and Luther Icenhour; brothers, Doug Icenhour and Joe Icenhour.
A graveside service for Helen will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Phillippi Cemetery with Chris Hughes officiating.
