Henry Harding Crotts, age 91, 6674 Highway 91 North, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee passed away at the Specialty Select Hospital, Bristol, Tennessee on Saturday, November 30, 2013. Mr. Crotts was born November 3, 1922 in Caldwell County, North Carolina to the late Frank Crotts and Betty Walker Crotts. He was also preceded in death by his wife Thelma Crotts, a sister, Erlene Conway and two brothers, Roy Crotts and Charlie Crotts. His hobbies were spending time with his grand kids and watching the Atlanta Braves. Mr. Crotts was a World War II Veteran of the United States Army, and had attended the College Avenue Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Broyhill Furniture in Lenoir N.C. Survivors include: A son, Richard Crotts and wife Donna, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee; daughter, Pam Dellinger, Granite Falls, NC; brother, Albert Crotts, Lenoir, NC; four grandchildren, Micah Crotts and Chris Crotts, Laurel Bloomery, TN, Cliff Crotts, Trade, TN and Gwen Benton, Morganton, NC; six great grandchildren; former wife, Frieda Crotts, Granite Falls, NC. Several niece and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Henry Crotts will be conducted on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Pastor Samuel Faulkner to officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Pallbearers will be Chris Crotts, Craig Benton, Kevin Howard, Jesse Stapleton, Cody Matheson, Jacob Stapleton and Daniel Faulkner. Honorary pallbearers will be Caleb Benton, Tyler Crotts, and Gary Howard. Military graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. from the Mountain Home National Cemetery to be accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at other times at residence of his son, Richard Crotts, 6674 Highway 91 North, Laurel Bloomery, TN.
