Herman Shoemake

Herman Shoemake, age 77, of 919 Medical Park Drive, Mountain City, TN passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 in Mountain City Care Center. He was born June 8, 1936 to the late Roby and Flora Huggins Shoemake. Herman loved fishing, drinking his coffee and reading his Bible. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Thelma Eastridge, Edna Blevins, Dorothy Graybeal, Stella Osborne and Elsie Airs; brothers Wayne Shoemake, Worth Shoemake and Spencer Shoemake. Survivors include: one brother: Dayton Shoemake and wife Ethel; two special nieces: Jessica Cunningham and Ruth Potter and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2014 from Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Steven Spencer officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Mountain City Care Center Staff and Dr. John Whitlock.
