Houston Paul Rominger

We are saddened to announce the passing of Houston Paul Rominger, age 60, on Monday, January 1, 2024 in Watauga Medical Center, Boone, N.C. He was born June 2, 1963 to the late Dewey Ralph Rominger and Alma Francis Laws Rominger in Banner Elk, N.C. Houston was a avid collector of arrowheads and guns, and also loved hunting and fishing and was a surveyor with the D.O.T. Houston was a member of Charity Missionary Baptist Church in Vilas, NC. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Dustin Rominger and a sister Sharon Yates.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Evelyn Bowley Rominger,of the home; children Heather Rominger, Zionville, N.C. Sons; Jacob Rominger, Foscoe, N.C. Joshua Rominger, Denver Co, and Zachary Rominger, of The Bethel Community; Sister Betty Buckner and husband Doug, Zionville, N.C; Brothers Scott Corum, Villas, N.C. Dewey, Dale and wife Marty, and Richard Rominger, all of Zionville, N.C. grandchildren, Nathan, Dustin and Kendra Barnes; Several Nieces and a multitude of friends who loved him also survive along with his best buddy Meeko.

Graveside service and interment will be Friday, January 5, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in Forrest Grove Cemetery with J.C Greene officiating.
