Howard Edward Williams

We are saddened to announce the passing of Howard Edward Williams, at the age of 77, who passed away on Thursday July 14, 2022 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born on April 23, 1945 in Johnson County, Tennessee to the late ED Roark and Blanche Lewis. He was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church, was an avid hunter, loved roosters and bee keeping. Those left to cherish his memory include daughters; Cheryl Leonard, Misty Williams, and Sister; Lisa Chapel of Mountain City, Sons; Jamie and Daniel Williams, Mountain City, TN. Brothers: Quincy Roark, Mountain City, TN. and Michael Roark, N.C. Sisters; Carolyn Hammons Osborne, Mountain City, TN. and Wanda Tippitt, Del brother; Jimmy Lewis, MD. 11 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Service will be conducted Monday July 18, 2022 in the Walnut Grove Baptist Church at 6:00 p.m. With Pastor Russ Poteet to officiate. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Lewis Cemetery. Pallbearers will be; A.J. Lipford, Christian Lipford, Gary Johnson, Keith Johnson, Jason Traverse, and James Williams, JR.
