Irene W. Taylor

Irene W. Taylor, age 84, of 1545 Red Brush Road, Mountain City,Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday January 23, 2007 at the Life Care Center, Elizabethton, TN. She was born on December 25, 1922 to the late Richard and Myrtle Winters Woods. In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Taylor; one son, Edward Taylor; four brothers: Earl Woods, Ralph Woods, Dallas Woods and Paul Woods; one sister, Louise Shores and a favorite nephew, David Franklin. She was a retired employee of TRW in Boone, NC, where she was employed for 15 years. She was of the Christian faith. Irene is survived by two daughters: Jonnie and husband Charles Crosswhite of Mountain City, Tennessee and Judy Miller of Boone, North Carolina; four sons: Robert and wife Dulcie Taylor of Mountain City, Tennessee, Daniel and wife Carol Taylor of Elizabethton, Tennessee, Richard and wife Linda Taylor of Crossville, Tennessee and Bill Taylor of Alvarado, Virginia; one sister, Etolia "Toss" Franklin of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; 12 grandchildren; special friend, Debbie Johnson of Mountain City, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Irene W. Taylor will be held at 7:00 p. m. Thursday, January 25, 2007 from the Henson Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ronnie Manuel and Mr. Jim Hutchinson to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Mr. Ronnie Manuel. Graveside services and burial will be held at 11:00 a. m. Friday, January 26, 2007 from the Donnelly Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends of Irene. The family will receive friends from 6- 7:00 p. m. Thursday, prior to the services and at ther times friends may call at the residence of a daughter, Jonnie Crosswhite, 1545 Red Brush Road, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683. Arrangements for the Taylor Family are in the care Henson Funeral Home of Mountain City, Tennessee.
