Iris Louise Williams

We are saddened to announce the passing of Iris “Bea” Williams, age 96, on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in Mountain City Care Center. She was born April 21, 1926 to the late Robert Leffler and Bessie Quesenberry Leffler. In addition to her parents, Iris was preceded in death by her husband, Bart Williams; granddaughter, Laura Beth Harper and three sisters, Elsie Johnson, Desmal Johnson and Christine Phillippi. After a career in nursing, She enjoyed gardening, mowing and the outdoors. Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Randy E Harper (Sharon) of Bristol, Va., two grand children, Shelley Harper Frick (Preston) of Charlotte, NC, Jonathan R Harper of Bristol TN; four great grandchildren, Mason, Ryder, Sawyer and Riley and two nephews, Jack Johnson and Mike Johnson, both of Mountain City, A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 2 pm in the Buford Lipford Chapel in Hux & Lipford Funeral Home, with Maurice Widener and Tom Reece officiating. Following the service, Bea will be entombed in the Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum of Love.
