Jack Arnold, Age 81, of Mountain City, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025. He was born December 8, 1943 to the late Raleigh Duff Arnold and Nell Tester Arnold.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Fern Cable Arnold and brother, Mack Arnold. 

Jack was a United States Army Veteran.  He loved hunting, fishing, college football and watching westerns, especially Gunsmoke. He was a member of the Cherokee Archery Club and Doe Valley Sportsman Club.  He was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. 

Survivors include his daughter, Jackie Lynn Arnold (Jerry Hall); sisters, Mary Bishop and Phyllis Anglemyer; brothers, Johnny Arnold (Teresa) and Jett Arnold; grandchildren, Cayla Meade (Eric Winters) and Megan Meade; nephew Eric Arnold; special friends, Frank Stout, Steve Johnson, Howard Stout, Billy Joe Tester, Johnny Dickens and Bill Hill.

A funeral service for Jack will be held at 4:00 PM  on Monday, December 1, 2025 in the Charles B Hux  Chapel at Hux & Lipford Funeral  Home with Tony Potter to officiate. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM prior to the funeral service.
