Jack Plummer

We are saddened to announce the passing of Jack Plummer, age 87, on Saturday, May 14, 2022 in The Waters of Bristol Nursing Center. He was born on August 10, 1934 to the late E.L. Plummer and Blair Gentry Plummer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Lloyd Plummer, Dennis Plummer, Wade Plummer, Sam Plummer, Jim Plummer and Shelby Coleman Plummer, sisters: Thelma Pierce and Opal Allen, nephews: James Plummer and Wade Plummer, Jr., and a niece, Pam Bowers. He was a United States Army Veteran and a retired truck driver for Mason Dixon, as well as a farmer. Jack loved reading, football and Westerns. Those left to cherish his memory include a sister, June Dennison of Bristol, VA, a brother, Ford Plummer (Judy) of Lebanon, TN, a special friend of many years, Sarah Kestner of Abingdon, VA, special nephews: John Cole (Diane), Lance Plummer, and several other nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside services for Jack will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 2:00 PM. from the Shady Valley Memorial Gardens with Tom Reece officiating. Music will be provided by Allie and Misty Cole. Military Honors will follow accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Honorary pallbearers are Josh Cole, Wes Cole, Osler Reed, Erby Howard, David McQueen, Jim Spencer and Jack Blevins. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of The Waters of Bristol Nursing Center, Sarah Barker and Cieara Bedwell.
