Jack (Jackie Lee) Scott, Trade, died on Sunday, March 23, 2013 at his winter residence in Lake Okeechobee, FL. A native of Johnson City, TN, he was the son of Mary Katherine Cox Scott and the late Verlin Arthur Scott. In addition to his father, Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Jinny and Waites Hodges, maternal grandparents Rachel and Dewey Cox. He also was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Gilmer and Nanie Fogleman and sister-in-law, Wanda Faye Feathers. Survivors include two brothers Dennis Scott, Norman and wife Claudia Scott both of Johnson City, three sisters, Peggy and husband Porter Harrison of Frederick, Maryland, Sandra and husband Wayne Ellis of Tyler, Texas, Donna Miller of Johnson City. He is also survived by his aunt, Wanda Hill of Jonesborough and uncle, Dan Cox and wife Blanche of Dayton, Ohio. Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Scott served in the United States Army from 1964-1966. He received his training in Fort Knox, was stationed in Germany, and then received a Medically Honorable Discharge in 1966. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Friday, March 29, 2013 in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City, TN. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday in the Sunrise Chapel with the Reverend Leonard Fletcher of Mountain City, TN officiating. Committal and interment services will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, Johnson City. Online condolences may be shared through www.tetrickfuneralhome.com.
