Jackie Lynn Cornett, age 40, of 344 Pine Street, Butler, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010 in Johnson City Medical Center after an extended illness. She was a daughter of Willard Ward Norris and the late Shelby Smith McKinzie. She was a homemaker and a very loving mother. Ms. Cornett attended Sink Valley Baptist Church. Her hobbies included cooking and gardening and especially loved to work in flowers. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Norris, and grandparents, Betty Norris and Clarence Norris, and grandmother, Dorothy Guy. Survivors include her husband, Victor Cornett, of the home; two daughters: Emma Paige Cornett and Trinity Hope Cornett, both of the home; two sisters: Sandy White and husband Harvey of Butler, TN and Audrey Perry and husband Todd of Butler TN; Brothers-in-law, Tony Cornett and wife Penny, and Tim Cornett; Friend: Melissa Vanover; father-in-law: Louis Cornett; mother-in-law: Carmella Cornett; special aunt: Sherry Stout, nieces and nephews: Hannah White, Maggie Townsend, Sue Norris, Wayne Norris, Todd Norris, T.J. Norris, Joseph Potter, Nathan Cornett and Dillon Cornett. Several aunts and uncles also survive. Funeral services for Jackie Lynn Cornett will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Sink Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Harvey White and Rev. John Hammett officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow in Butler Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Wayne Norris, Howard Stout, Todd Perry, Tony Cornett, Dean Dykes and Scott Guy. Honorary pallbearer will be Tim Cornett. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. At other times friends may call at the home, 344 Pine Street, Butler Tennessee at any time.
