James Samuel “Jim” Campbell, age 65, of 5000 Hwy 91, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Mountain City Care Center, Mountain City, Tennessee. He was a graduate of Johnson County High School and enjoyed trading cars. His occupation was a former employee of Burlington Industries. He attended Azen Baptist Church in Konnarock, Virginia. He was born November 25, 1950 to the late, Sam Campbell and Nell Hopkins Campbell and in addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Anna Blevins Campbell.
“Jim” is survived by one brother, Benny Campbell of Mountain City, Tennessee and one half-sister, Laura Lunceford, Butler, Tennessee; special niece, April Arnold and nephews, Jonathan Arnold and Joe Fritts, who were like his children and several other nieces and nephews also, survive.
Funeral services will be Monday, March, 14, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel, Hux-Lipford Funeral Home, Mountain City, Tennessee with Rev. Steven Spencer officiating and prayer by Tom Reece.
Visitation for family and friends will be prior to the funeral service from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel, Mountain City, Tennessee.
Graveside service and burial will be Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Azen Baptist Church Cemetery, Konnarock, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Adam Campbell, Ken Garland, Terry Campbell, Jonathan Arnold, Joe Fritts and Tom Reece. Honorary pallbearers are Lynn Campbell, Kenneth Miller, Robert Michaels and staff of Mountain City Care Center.
Friends may call at the home of “Jim’s” brother, Benny Campbell, 251 Eastridge Road, Mountain City, Tennessee.
