James Delmar Mullins, age 76, of 524 North Church Street, Mountain City, TN passed away Sunday January 8, 2012 in the Bristol Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was a native Johnson County, a son of the late Robert and Lura Frances Potter Mullins. Mr. Mullins was a U S Army veteran, retired from the University of California, as a Maintenance Forman, he enjoyed woodworking, and was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church. In addition to his parents his wife, Willa Whitlock Mullins and two brothers, Robert Mullins Jr. and Boyd G. Mullins preceded him in death. Funeral services for James D. Mullins will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday Jan.11, 2012 from the Hero's Chapel of the Johnson County Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Fletcher officiating. Music will be by the Fletcher Family. Interment will follow in the Reece Memorial Cemetery. Survivors are Sister, Ola Fleeman, and husband Enoch, Mountain City, Nephews, Timothy Mullins, Robert Mullins, Keith Hall, Troy Hall. Niece, Cynthia Hall. Pallbearers will be Jack Fleeman, Bob Mullins, Matt Mullins, John Davis, James Hayworth, Hubert Loggins. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Mullins, Wendell Potter, Richard Shoun, Harold Phillippi, and Roby Phillippi.
